    31. My daughter recently ate some raw cookie dough - Top

Q: My daughter recently ate some raw cookie dough; is there a problem with this?

A: Raw cookie dough commonly contains eggs. Uncooked eggs may contain salmonella bacteria. This can result in intentional or blood infections. So, uncooked eggs or foods containing them should be avoided. The only exception is liquid pasteurized eggs or dehydrated eggs which do not contain salmonella.
