    Many teen atheletes try a number of things to increase their muscle mass or atheletic performance. One of the most common attempts is to take protein suppliments.

    Studies have shown that teen athletes can get all the nutrition they need from good old healthy food, without any suppliments.

    A diet that is very high in protein can be dangerous and can damage the kidneys and other organs.
