- 11. My 3 yr old is a picky eater. Vitamins? - Top
- Most 3 year olds are perceived as picky eaters. because they are going through a slow growth phase and they do a great deal of their nutritional intake on the run. They do not want to miss any play time witting at the table eating. The American Academy of Pediatrics feels that most children receive adequate vitamins through their diet. A once a day vitamin supplement is not harmful, but probably not necessary. The best approach is to provide and teach good balanced eating to provide vitamins through diet rather than a pill. Fruits and vegetables can be given as "on the run" nutrition.
