- Q My baby has his nights and days mixed up; What can I do to help?
A: Most babies fall into the natural process of sleeping mostly at night and less in the daytime. However, some children get it backwards as with your child. This does not mean anything is wrong but you will need to be more involved in actively training your child to live the schedule of your household First, you will need to reduce his sleeping in the daytime by being more active with him, not letting him take long naps and keeping the household bright and active in the daytime. The other side of the coin will be to keep nighttime quiet and subdued. Usually with a little work in this direction, babies will adjust their internal clock to fit those around them - Updated: March 23, 2001
