    7. How can I help my baby be well settled? - Top

    Handle your baby with confidence.

By this I don't mean to carelessly toss the baby around, but do pick up the baby and hold it like you are comfortable with it. Babies can tell if their caregiver is scared or uncomfortable and it makes them scared and uncomfortable.

Babies cry sometimes, and often for no reason. It's ok. Check your baby. If he is dry and well fed, and nothing seems to be poking him or wrong in any way, don't worry about some crying here and there.

Don't keep the house too quiet! Make noise! Babies that live in environments with a reasonable amount of noise are more likely to sleep well. - Updated: October 23, 2001
