Yes, it is normal to see flucuations in your teen's maturity level. However, Teens exhibiting violent behavior, antisocial or withdrawn behavior, excessive tearfulness, hopelessness, or constant immaturity may have more significant emotional issues that could benefit from counselling or medication. - Updated: May 22, 2001
