A. AIDS is a complex issue even for adults and certainly is for children. However, am im the came with talking with children, the approach is one of simplicity and honesty. First you as a parent should be informed yourself about AIDS - what it is, what causes it, how do you get it and what does it do to you and finally how can you avoid it. This article is too short to go into details, but information is available through several AIDS prevention organizations, the American Red Cross, the library and your physician.
