- 2. Insurance won't cover ADD Medication - Top
- I have a friend whose child is on medication for ADHD and their insurance company will not cover it because it is used for long term treatment is there help avaliable for them?
They need to discuss that with us. I suppose it is possible- insurance companies can decide what medications they wish to pay for, but I have never heard of any insurance company not covering those medications. It may be that the specific drug (such as Adderall) is not covered, but another one may be. Our front office staff should be able to solve the problem by contacting the insurance company.
