    1. 15 month old is bored and hates "no" - Top

Q: I have a 15 month old son he is getting into everything and already hates the word no, I feel like he is bored do you have an suggestions for games or toys that will challenge him?

A: a fifteen month old is often already going through the "terrible twos". Their biggest problem is their insatiable curiosity coupled with an extremely immature psyche. They want to see and do all, tear all apart to see what it is made of, and they do not like being prevented from this immediate gratification.

For this reason, toys and projects that involve assembling, disassembling, stacking, hiding, looking at things from different angles and getting into safe trouble are ideal. Sometimes it is OK to let him take out every singe pot and pan in the kitchen and see how each one sounds when banged together, over and over again, and you may need to just "let it be". When you want to say "no", see if you can avoid it sometimes by instead redirecting him to another activity so that "no" will have a greater impact and value when you say it.
