- I am often asked, at a check up, to tell a child how important it is not to slouch, and that they should sit up straight.
Unfortunately, there is no study that suggests a benefit to such intervention. I try to stress that a person's posture speaks to their attitude, and that sitting upright and respectfully can only help them in life, and help them to be seen as more grown up.
