    Infants do not benefit from daycare, in general. Some special needs children benefit from daycare centers where they can receive physical therapy and other special programs.

    Older kids, such as 2 and 3 year olds, seem to enjoy playing along side other children their age. For this reason it may be nice to find a play group that will allow your child that experience. - Updated: March 8, 2001
