- 4. Nasal Allergies - Top
- Around ten percent of the population has some allergic problems. These problems commonly run in families. Nasal allergies are an over-sensitivity of the nose to things in the environment such as pollen, molds, dust, and other airborne things.
These children have runny and itchy noses, congestion with mouth-breathing, and sometimes itchy watery eyes as well. They may also have an associated nagging cough.
For some children this is a seasonal problem (especially fall and spring) but for others it is a continuous problem year-round.
Associated problems may be nosebleeds, sinus infections, and ear infections.
